CARB 2
All gen² worksurfaces, tables, transaction tops, etc. are being produced from new reformulated Flakeboard particleboard which is CARB 2 compliant. CARB is the California Air Resources Board which works with the public, the business sector, and local governments to protect the public's health, the economy and the state's ecological resources through the most cost-effective reduction of air pollution.
In 2007, the California Air Resources Board voted to implement limitations for formaldehyde emissions that will apply to composite panels including particleboard and medium density fiberboard (MDF). CARB posted strict guidelines that had to be completed to pass their inspections, the guidelines were broken into two phases.
By using new reformulated Flakeboard, we can have peace of mind that our customers and clients have the greenest and most environmental friendly products on the market today.
